About the cosplay

I wanted to design my own take on Fearne with a clear basis in her debut design. Most of the dress materials were thrifted. The deer ears were repurposed from my Reindeer Gal cosplay and wired directly into the wig on the same band that the horns are connected to. The horns are extremely lightweight foam (foam dowels, craft foam sheets, and foam clay) wrapped around a central wire then curved around a broom handle to get consistent curls. The wig was customized to have greener roots with markers, and pretty much all the flowers stuck in it were various faux foliage I had one hand from other projects including my own wedding.

I've gone through two different iterations on Fearne's legs--the first was with stretch velvet also left over from my Reindeer Gal but waaaay too hot to wear in the summer. The second attempt was simply brown tights with the fluff ripped off the last leggings and turned into separate shoe covers. This cosplay is fun to wear, but a bit of a pain, to be honest. The next time Fearne comes out to play, I'll also need to replace some of her ribbons because several fell off at Metrcon if I remember correctly...oops.
